Deputy Head of Nursing Department

For one of the largest elderly care institutions in the Basel region, we are looking for a committed Deputy Head of Nursing Department to start immediately or by arrangement.

The institution operates a modern retirement centre with around 150 rooms, a broad range of nursing, care and therapy services, as well as day and night structures.

Requirements Profile

• Completed training as a certified nurse HF/FH
• Initial leadership experience is an advantage
• Responsible, reliable and flexible personality
• Motivation to further develop one’s own expertise
• Independent thinking and acting according to the competence profile
• High communication skills as well as good written and oral expression
• Experience with interRAI / LOBOS desired
• Good IT skills

Tasks

• Support of the department management in personnel, professional and organisational leadership
• Assumption of leadership duties in the absence of the department head
• Responsibility for adjustments, additions and evaluations of nursing planning as well as documentation in the LOBOS system, including interRAI surveys
• Implementation of social measures and maintenance of contacts with relatives, doctors and other parties involved
• Daily responsibility in the department
• Professional responsibility throughout the house as well as house responsibility at weekends
