The Team Head for Data Platform & Analytics serves as business owner of the Global Data Platform (GDP) and leads the bank’s data and analytics agenda. This role defines the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the platform, ensuring it delivers measurable business value and enables informed decision-making across the organisation.
In a transforming environment, the role connects existing capabilities, sets direction, and expands the reach of data and analytics. It blends strategic leadership, stakeholder collaboration, and delivery oversight to advance both the data platform and the bank’s data science capabilities
IHRE AUFGABEN
Business ownership of the Global Data Platform:
- Define the platform’s vision, target state, and roadmap
- Align business and IT on priorities, scope, and delivery outcomes
- Ensure the platform provides trusted, high-quality, and reusable data assets
Stakeholder engagement and scope development:
- Design effective engagement models with business units
- Align priorities with business stakeholders and develop mutually supported roadmaps
- Drive platform adoption, expand use cases, and manage governance and funding; enable clear prioritisation and value reporting
- Lead growth in data assets through improved modelling and quality assurance
Advance data science capabilities:
- Promote and coordinate advanced analytics initiatives across the bank
- Support tools, best practices, and expert communities
- Secure resources and foster talent development for critical data projects
Contribution to enterprise data & AI strategy:
- Shape and evolve the bank’s overarching data and AI strategy in line with GDP objectives
- Collaborate with technology, risk, and business functions to set governance and standards
Represent the data function in key strategic programmes and executive forums
YOUR PROFILE
Education & Experience:
- University degree in Business Administration, Data Science, Computer Science, or related field
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in data strategy, enterprise data platforms, or digital transformation programs within highly regulated industries
- Relevant background in banking or wealth management. Understanding of banking operations, regulations, and data needs
- Proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives from a business perspective
- Proven ability to achieve impact in an indirect leadership situation and securing commitments from diverse stakeholders
- Solid understanding of modern data architectures, governance frameworks, and analytics ecosystems (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake) – effective to guide technical teams and evaluate solution designs
