About the job
Realising living spaces for future generations.
HIAG is a leading real estate company listed on the SIX Swiss Exchange. HIAG's business model encompasses the entire value chain of real estate: portfolio/asset management, site development, and transaction management. We invest in residential, commercial, and industrial spaces at attractive locations in German-speaking and Western Switzerland, placing great emphasis on sustainability. Together, we create holistic living spaces of the future for people and businesses on our sites. We combine the strengths of a family business with the financial power of a publicly listed group. Our corporate culture is characterised by trust, transparency, and dialogue. We communicate on equal terms and maintain a respectful approach.
Your tasks
- You take on the client representation and overall responsibility for demanding new build, conversion, and renovation projects from planning to handover.
- You independently manage construction projects regarding costs, quality, deadlines, and sustainability.
- You support our site and project developers with your expertise already in early planning phases.
- You lead and coordinate external planners, general and main contractors, as well as other specialists.
- You ensure the implementation of strategic, economic, and qualitative project goals.
- You prepare tenders, conduct award procedures, and draft contracts for work.
- You are responsible for several smaller and medium-sized construction projects running in parallel and accompany the warranty and defect rectification phase.
- You review construction cost calculations and ensure economical project execution.
- You conduct contract negotiations with planners, contractors, and other project partners.
- You accompany real estate acquisitions with technical due diligence checks and profitability analyses.
- You prepare decision-making documents, loan applications, and participate in the budgeting process.
- You further develop overarching topics such as LEAN Construction, ESG, process optimisation, and construction cost benchmarking.
- You work closely with asset management, property management, marketing, development, and finance.
Your profile
- You have at least five years of professional experience in a comparable role.
- You hold a university degree in architecture, civil engineering, or a comparable qualification – ideally complemented by further education in real estate management (e.g. CUREM).
- You bring solid experience in residential construction and ideally in industrial and commercial construction across all planning and implementation phases.
- You drive projects forward with energy, clarity, and decisiveness – even in demanding situations.
- You work in a structured and analytical manner, while also being pragmatic and solution-oriented.
- You think integrally, lead with an integrative approach, and develop viable solutions for different stakeholders.
- You do not see yourself merely as a coordinator but as an entrepreneurial personality who takes responsibility, recognises opportunities, and drives projects forward with conviction.
- You think in options rather than problems, go the extra mile when necessary, and align different interests towards a common goal.
- You have an affinity for new planning and construction processes; experience with LEAN and BIM is an advantage.
- You communicate very well and appropriately in German and French; English skills are an advantage.
- You act agilely and flexibly in a dynamic, opportunistic environment.
