Clerk: Goods Flow/Import
Tasks
- You are responsible for warranty and supplier returns from the return shipment to financial settlement and ensure that legitimate credits and claims against our suppliers are fully realised.
- You organise international transports from Asia and Europe by sea, rail, air, and road freight and, together with our forwarding partners, ensure reliable and timely processing.
- You work closely with the Head of Import/Export and, after your induction, take on the technical deputy role. In doing so, you coordinate orders, delivery dates, payments, and cooperation with our procurement partners in Asia, among other things.
- You coordinate import, export, and customs clearance processes and work closely with the specialised departments of the Coop Group as well as our external partners.
- You check and verify transport and forwarding invoices with an annual volume in the millions and reliably and carefully take on recurring operational billing and control tasks.
- You work closely with categories, suppliers, and logistics partners, independently resolve discrepancies, and actively contribute your ideas to the further development and digitalisation of our goods flow processes.
Requirements
- You have a commercial or logistical basic education and bring initial relevant professional experience.
- You are interested in international goods flows, logistics, and import/export and want to continuously expand your expertise in these areas.
- You like to take responsibility, work independently, and keep an overview even with several parallel processes, deadlines, and financial matters.
- You communicate openly and reliably with suppliers and service providers, actively address open issues, and persist until a viable solution is found.
- Initial experience with international transports, import/export, SAP, or cooperation with suppliers is an advantage – for us, willingness to learn, initiative, and good commercial understanding are decisive.
- You have very good German skills and can communicate confidently in English with our international partners.
