Customs Declarant

Your tasks

• You are the first point of contact for the Swiss, Austrian, and German customs authorities and maintain regular communication with them
• You actively advise our customers in the area of customs clearance and support them with customs procedures, including exports, transit documents, as well as special cases (e.g. repairs and returned goods on import and export) and the issuance of preference certificates (EUR.1, Form A)
• In addition, you are responsible for direct border clearance as well as independent customs processing (CH, AT, DE) using the ZE/ZV procedures with the application of the relevant IT systems (e-dec, eZoll AT/Zolaris, ATLAS DE, Scope)
• Handling general administrative tasks as well as professional service of walk-in customers at the counter, including cash collection, also fall within your area of responsibility

Our requirements

• For this position, you have completed vocational training in the forwarding sector, ideally with further training in customs (e.g. customs specialist with a professional certificate) and several years of professional experience in the international customs clearance environment (CH/AT/DE)
• You have very good IT skills and are confident in using the relevant customs systems (e-dec, Scope, eZoll AT – Zolaris, ATLAS DE) as well as MS Office
• You are a conscientious, structured, and team-oriented person with a strong service orientation and enjoy advising customers
• Very good German skills as well as good English skills are required
