We are recruiting a Back of House assistant for our ephemeral boutique in Gstaad!
Your mission with us will focus on 2 pillars:
STOCK
As a stock assistant, you keep an accurate record of inventory and stocktaking and ensure that the boutique's stock rooms are always organized and tidy. You are proactive in organizing stock in the back office as well as on the sales floor, and propose optimization ideas.
Main responsibilities
- Be versatile by acting as a link between the back-office stock and the sales floor.
- Ensure the daily receipt of products (opening boxes, labeling, security marking) and perform quality checks on all products upon receipt.
- Store goods in the correct place in the stock and rearrange the sales area.
- Ensure that the stock is well organized and optimized according to the boutique's internal procedures.
- Manage daily transfer requests from boutique staff and other boutiques.
- Prepare and participate in inventories.
- Analyze and assist the boutique manager and the designated stock manager in resolving discrepancies related to rolling inventories.
- Prepare stock for the launch of new collections and collaborate with the Visual Merchandising team.
- (?) Support the boutique in preparing sales (re-labeling, stock reorganization).
- Support the sales team by bringing merchandise when necessary or tidying fitting rooms during busy periods.
- Assist with packing and packaging sold products.
CASH DESK
As a cashier assistant, you will provide excellent customer service and help the boutique team carry out daily transactions.
Main responsibilities
- Manage the point of sale system at designated times (depending on the team).
- Ensure transactions are completed accurately and within the allotted time.
- Verify all credit card conditions, such as the customer's signature on the back of the card and the signature on the receipt.
- Calculate and record transaction totals at the end of the day.
- Execute and compile the closing report.
- Ensure there is enough cash in the till before the boutique opens.
- Count the cash at the start of each shift to ensure amounts are correct and sufficient change is available.
- Issue sales invoices. Obtain boutique manager approval for issuing refunds and credit notes.
- Review quotas by category by checking the purchase history of all transactions before issuing an invoice to the customer.
- Monitor inventory of transaction supplies (e.g., sales slips, carbon rolls, invoice holders) and arrange timely replenishment.
- Follow procedures established to prevent theft and fraud in the boutique and avoid security breaches.
- Maintain a clean and orderly point of sale.

Required qualifications
- Minimum secondary school diploma.
- 2 to 3 years of experience in retail

- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- English is essential.
