A key role to support pedagogical innovation and scientific excellence within a dynamic department.

Your role and responsibilities:

Pedagogical and Technical Support

• Work under the responsibility of the department head and in a team with other scientific technicians.
• Prepare equipment and chemicals for classes in the Middle Years Programme (MYP).
• Support experimental work in class during lessons if necessary.
• Collaborate on pedagogical innovation by testing and optimizing experimental protocols.

Management and Maintenance

• Maintain, repair, and clean laboratory equipment.
• Manage stock, perform inventories, and carry out purchases according to school procedures.
• Manage the storage and disposal of chemicals in accordance with Swiss regulations.

Safety and Community

• Know and enforce safety standards in force within the school.
• Engage in school life (meetings, training, community events).

Profile sought:

Skills and Experience

• Scientific diploma, ideally with a specialization in chemistry.
• Previous experience as a scientific technician in a school environment.
• Excellent skills in French and English (written and oral).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and Google Apps tools.

Personal qualities

• Ability to work independently while having a strong team spirit.
• Ability to manage stress and priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, especially with adolescent audiences.
• Rigor, organizational skills, and a high level of personal demand.
