Global Logistics / Shipping Specialist (m/f/d) 80 - 100 %

Your tasks:

• Identification, evaluation and development of transport partners (air, sea, road and courier transports)
• Worldwide tendering, negotiation and awarding of freight services taking into account costs, quality, service and sustainability
• Creation and maintenance of contracts, general terms and conditions, price lists and partner documents
• Support of international locations with transport-related issues as well as escalation management in cases of liability, complaints and damages
• Analysis of global transport markets as well as identification of optimisation and saving potentials
• Co-responsibility for freight rates, transport budgets and the sustainable reduction of logistics costs
• Monitoring and further development of performance indicators (KPIs) as well as ensuring the agreed service levels
• Participation in digitalisation and automation initiatives in the field of transport management and freight purchasing

Your profile:

• Degree in business administration, supply chain management, logistics or a comparable education with a focus on logistics
• Several years of professional experience in transport logistics or strategic purchasing of transport services
• Sound knowledge of global transport markets (sea, air, road and courier transports)
• Strong negotiation and assertiveness skills
• Fluent German and English skills, both spoken and written; additional languages are an advantage
• Very good knowledge of common MS Office programmes as well as good SAP knowledge
• Willingness to travel required
