Role:
On behalf of a client, we are looking for an experienced specialist in Digital Construction, BIM Coordination and digital construction processes in energy infrastructure. You will accompany demanding infrastructure and construction projects through all planning and execution phases and support project teams in the practical application of digital planning methods. The focus is on interdisciplinary BIM coordination, model checking, clash detection, and the provision of digital construction information for the construction site. The position combines solid technical expertise with consulting skills and offers the opportunity to actively shape the digital transformation of complex energy infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities:
Advising project teams, planners and contractors on the introduction and practical application of BIM methods in energy infrastructure and construction projects
Coordinating interdisciplinary BIM processes across all planning and execution phases with a special focus on the requirements of the construction site
Checking and quality assurance of digital specialist models regarding completeness, consistency, coordination quality and constructability
Consolidating and coordinating various BIM specialist models to create a coordinated digital project basis
Conducting clash detection and interface analyses with systematic identification and documentation of technical conflicts
BIM issue management and follow-up of open coordination topics until technical clarification and implementation of agreed measures
Organising and moderating BIM coordination meetings with engineering teams, specialist planners, contractors and other project participants
Preparing digital construction packages for the site including BIM models, execution plans, technical data and project-relevant information
Supporting model-based construction execution by assisting site teams in using digital planning and execution documents
Applying and further developing openBIM processes considering standardised data exchange formats such as IFC and BCF
Optimising digital planning and coordination workflows by developing practical workflows and improving collaboration between planning and execution
Technical documentation and quality assurance of BIM project management by monitoring defined model requirements and coordination standards
Qualifications:
Completed training or degree in civil engineering, architecture, building services engineering or a comparable technical field with solid experience in digital construction processes
Several years of professional experience in BIM coordination, digital construction, engineering or technical construction consulting within demanding infrastructure or construction projects
Very good knowledge of interdisciplinary BIM project coordination as well as experience in coordinating planning and execution processes
Confident use of Autodesk Civil 3D or Revit as well as common applications for model consolidation, clash detection and BIM issue management
Knowledge of openBIM standards and data exchange formats, especially IFC and BCF, as well as understanding of model-based information processes
Independent, structured and solution-oriented working style with strong consulting skills, communication ability and decisiveness
Very good German skills and good English skills in spoken and written form for collaboration with interdisciplinary project teams; French skills are an advantage
