ICT Manager Finance Administration 80%The Finance Administration organizes the finances of the Canton of Zurich and enables an overall view. It prepares the budget with financial plan and the accounts of the canton on behalf of the government council. It prepares financial decisions of the government council, ensures an efficient accounting system, and provides corresponding services for the entire administration.
The Leadership Support Department manages cross-directorate projects for the further development of financial processes and systems. It leads the specialist units IKS (Internal Control System) and LEA (Performance Recording with Effort Statement) of the canton. It supports the secretariat and the IT of the office.
To ensure these tasks can be reliably fulfilled in an increasingly digital administration, we are looking for a personality who actively shapes the ICT, security, and digitization topics of the Finance Administration.
Starting May 1, 2026, or by agreement, we are looking for a committed personality for this role. In this function, you are the central contact person for ICT, information security, data protection, and the use of new technologies in the Finance Administration. You combine professional requirements with cantonal IT strategies and ensure that digital solutions are used securely, efficiently, and sustainably.
Your tasks:
- Representing the interests of the Finance Administration regarding a uniform, coherent system in cantonal ICT programs and IT committees as well as contributing professional requirements to overarching solutions
- Coordinating and accompanying ICT and digitization projects at office, directorate, and cantonal levels
- Acting as the Information Security Officer (ISIA) of the Finance Administration
- Taking on the role of Data Protection Officer of the Finance Administration
- Professional application responsibility for the Finance Administration's ticketing tool, as well as coordinating its further development
- Monitoring technological developments – especially in the field of Artificial Intelligence – and coordinating corresponding deployment possibilities in the Finance Administration
- Informing and advising the organization on ICT strategies, guidelines, and cantonal requirements
Your profile:
- University degree or higher education in computer science, business informatics, or comparable
- Several years of experience in ICT coordination, IT governance, information security, or digitization
- Solid knowledge in IT security and data protection
- Interest or experience in the use of AI in administrative or business processes
- Experience in complex organizations or public administration is a plus
- SAP module knowledge is an advantage
- Structured, solution-oriented working style, strong networking and communication skills
