About the job
Introduction
The city of Adliswil is a dynamic city with a high quality of life, which has grown rapidly in recent years. With customer-friendly services, the administration is there for around 20,000 residents.
For the Public Works Department, we are looking for a
Deputy Group Leader Road Maintenance 100%
with Training Responsibility
Your Tasks
The Public Works Department of the city of Adliswil ensures the environmentally friendly and economical maintenance of around 100 km of roads and paths as well as public waters and the sewer system.
In this versatile role, you are primarily responsible for the structural maintenance of municipal traffic areas. This includes general construction services as well as work on pavements, curbs and other road facilities. In addition, you support the operational maintenance of ancillary facilities and public waters. During the winter months, you provide on-call service and ensure safe traffic routes through snow clearance and ice control.
Additionally, you take on the responsibility as the training supervisor for the apprenticeship of Operational Maintenance Specialist EFZ, Public Works specialisation. You accompany our apprentices during their training, promote their professional and personal development, and joyfully impart your knowledge and experience to them.
What We Expect from You
You have completed a vocational apprenticeship in a manual trade, for example as a road builder, operational maintenance specialist or bricklayer, and bring several years of professional experience. You hold a category B/E driving licence, operate construction machinery safely and efficiently, and have good spoken German skills. You enjoy working outdoors, are independent, flexible and appreciate teamwork. Ideally, you live in the region (approx. 15 minutes commute), as the role includes on-call service during winter operations. Experience in training apprentices or the willingness to complete the relevant trainer education completes your profile.
Our Offer to You
You can expect a varied and responsible area of work with a high degree of independence in a committed and collegial team. You benefit from modern employment conditions as well as the opportunity to pass on your expertise and actively shape the next generation of specialists.
