About the job

At our printing centre in Bern, you will work in a 3-shift system as a plant operator, ensuring that our newspapers can be delivered on time. If you enjoy interacting with people from different nations, we would like to get to know you.

What to expect:

• You operate all shipping units, from the winding station to the insertion drum, the packaging machine, and the shipping ramp, and are thus jointly responsible for the quality and timely delivery of all newspaper titles.

• You supervise your plant area during production and optimise the settings.

• In addition, you lead a team of employees in technical matters and are responsible for the maintenance (servicing/cleaning) of the assigned machine.

• Your involvement in production also includes various tasks such as forklift driving, manual work, and the creation of records.

What we are looking for:

• You have completed technical training and have a flair for mechanical and technical matters.

• Several years of professional experience in the printing industry (preferably in the shipping area) are an advantage.

• You understand how to analyse existing processes, develop your own ideas, and optimise work and procedures.

• You are flexible, a team player, communicative, and can keep an overview even in hectic situations, acting quickly and thoughtfully.

• You are willing to work in a 3-shift system.
