The Office for Youth and Career Counselling (AJB) informs, advises and supports the population of the Canton of Zurich on the topics of family, career and professional development. It provides various services decentralised in several child and youth welfare centres (kjz) and career information centres (biz).
The Department of Social Work and Mandates fulfils assignments across the entire scope of statutory and voluntary youth and family assistance. We support children, young people and parents in addressing and resolving their individual questions and problems. For this, we often work within a network of interdisciplinary service providers.
For the kjz Kloten we are looking for two social workers FH 60% to 80% starting 1 September or 1 October 2026
For this demanding role we seek committed and resilient individuals with the following tasks:
- Managing civil law child protection measures and investigations on behalf of the KESB
- Advising and supporting parents, children and young people on issues of cohabitation or family conflicts
- Coordinating and initiating supportive measures
- Networking with other services in the field of child and youth welfare
You bring:
- a university of applied sciences degree in social work or equivalent qualification
- professional experience as a social worker in youth and family assistance as well as mandate management
- ideally prior experience from a kjz or from the KESB
- good knowledge of social insurance
- a persuasive, goal-oriented and assertive personality
- high social competence as well as good written and oral communication skills, systemic thinking and enjoyment of administrative tasks
