As an Operational Buyer, you take on a central role in our operational procurement. You ensure that goods and services are available as needed and on time, and you accompany the entire procurement process – from ordering to invoice verification. In doing so, you work closely with internal departments as well as national and international suppliers and actively contribute to the further development of our purchasing processes.Your area of responsibility
- Ensuring efficient and reliable operational procurement
- Creating and processing orders (Purchase Orders) in the ERP system
- Monitoring delivery dates and actively resolving deviations
- Checking and clarifying discrepancies between order, goods receipt, and invoice
- Obtaining and comparing offers as well as supporting tenders
- Participating in price and contract negotiations with suppliers
- Close cooperation with internal stakeholders from various company departments
- Managing and coordinating national and international suppliers
- Handling complaints and delivery issues
- Maintaining purchasing and supplier master data
- Active involvement in the optimisation and further development of purchasing processes
- Supporting the strategic procurement of indirect goods
Your skills
- Completed mechanical, technical, or commercial training
- Several years of experience in operational purchasing, ideally in an industrial or technical environment
- Further training in purchasing, business administration, or supply chain management is an advantage
- Independent, structured, and reliable working style
- Analytical thinking and strong solution orientation
- High initiative and the ability to keep an overview even with several parallel topics
- Confident and professional appearance towards suppliers and internal contacts
- Strong communication skills and enjoyment of teamwork
- Very good German skills as well as good English skills in spoken and written form
