About the job
The Opportunity
As a Field Service Engineer at HITACHI ENERGY LTD, you are responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of our products and systems directly at the customer’s site in Switzerland. You ensure optimal performance and availability of the plants, thereby making a significant contribution to our customers’ satisfaction.
What You Can Achieve
Carrying out installations, commissioning, maintenance, and repairs on HITACHI ENERGY products and systems, especially in the fields of high voltage, energy transmission, and distribution.
Troubleshooting and rectification of faults in complex electrical systems and installations.
Preparation of service reports and documentation after each assignment.
Advising customers on technical issues and optimisation possibilities.
Training customer personnel in the operation of the plants.
Compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
Willingness to travel within Switzerland and occasionally abroad.
Participation in on-call duty (standby) outside regular working hours.
Continuous further training and updating of expertise on new products and technologies.
Your Background
Completed technical training (e.g. electrician, electronics technician, automation technician) or degree (e.g. electrical engineering, energy technology).
Several years of professional experience in service or maintenance of electrical systems, ideally in the energy sector.
Sound knowledge of high voltage technology, switchgear, and control systems is an advantage.
Confident handling of measuring and testing equipment.
Good German language skills in spoken and written form (Swiss German is an advantage), as well as good English skills. French language skills are a plus.
Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking.
High degree of initiative, sense of responsibility, and customer orientation.
Valid driving licence category B.
Willingness to work flexible hours and travel.
