- Leading Cost & Value Engineering projects in project and product business throughout the entire product and project lifecycle.
- Analysing projects, products and technical solutions regarding costs, functionality, value contribution and feasibility.
- Conducting and moderating value engineering, benchmarking and optimisation workshops with internal and external stakeholders.
- Developing cost models, target costs and savings measures by applying CVE methods, benchmarking and bottom-up calculations.
- Analysing specifications, technical specifications, customer requirements, product designs and manufacturing concepts.
- Identifying and evaluating technical alternatives to increase customer benefit while optimising costs.
- Close collaboration with sales, engineering, product management, purchasing, manufacturing and suppliers to sustainably implement identified potentials.
- Building cost and technology transparency for products, systems and project solutions.
This is how you convince us:
- Education:
- Completed master’s degree in electrical engineering, industrial engineering, production engineering, mechanical engineering or comparable technical qualification.
- Alternatively, technical training with many years of relevant professional experience.
- Experience and knowledge:
- Sound knowledge of relevant manufacturing technologies, especially in switch cabinet construction, wiring and stamping/bending processes.
- Proven experience in using modern AI tools to automate, simplify and increase productivity of engineering, calculation, analysis and business processes.
- Many years of experience in cost & value engineering, project management, product management, purchasing, engineering or a comparable technical function.
- Experience in conducting and moderating workshops, decision rounds and interdisciplinary optimisation projects.
- Knowledge of benchmarking, value engineering, target costing, cost analysis and requirements engineering.
- Experience in project business in building automation, electrical engineering, technical building equipment or building infrastructure.
- Profound understanding of cost structures, calculations and economic contexts.
- Technical understanding of building automation systems, energy distribution, switch cabinets and electrical installations.
- Ability to confidently analyse technical drawings, circuit diagrams, parts lists, 3D models and specifications.
- Experience with cost models, Excel and modern analysis tools.
- Knowledge of Siemens products and solutions in the field of Smart Infrastructure is an advantage.
- Working style:
- Strong moderation, presentation and communication skills.
- Ability to bring together different stakeholders with sometimes opposing interests and lead them to joint solutions.
- Entrepreneurial thinking, high initiative and structured approach.
- Confident appearance towards management, sales, engineering and customers.
- Enthusiasm for technical issues and economic optimisation.
- Willingness to travel occasionally nationally and internationally.
- Language skills: Very good German and English skills, spoken and written.
