Inventory Specialist / Monument Preservation
Office for Culture | Monument Preservation | 40% | Chur
We are looking for an inventory specialist for monument preservation at the Office for Culture starting January 1, 2026, or by arrangement.
Your area of responsibility
- You inventory and document protected architectural monuments of the canton of Graubünden.
- You develop decision-making and argumentation bases for careful handling of our cultural-historical heritage and spatial planning issues.
- You create the cantonal building inventory across the entire canton and represent it with municipalities and property owners.
- You supplement your observations on buildings with source and archive research and record your results in writing in a database.
What we expect from you
- You have an academic degree in art history, history, or architecture.
- Ideally, you have knowledge in the field of building inventory.
- You can quickly grasp and assess ensembles and individual buildings as a whole.
- You are skilled in efficiently accessing archival holdings.
- Precise formulation in German (written and spoken) is no problem for you.
- You have knowledge of another cantonal official language, preferably Italian.
- Teamwork skills and willingness to travel throughout the canton complete your profile.
