Job Description
At Syngenta, our goal is to build the most collaborative and trustworthy team in agriculture that provides high-quality seeds and innovative crop protection solutions to improve farmers' success. To support this mission, Syngenta's hiring team is looking for an Infrastructure Coordinator (m/f/d) in Muttenz, Switzerland.
Purpose of the Position
As an Infrastructure Coordinator (m/f/d), the person is responsible for the smooth and safe operation of all infrastructure facilities. They organize maintenance work and partially carry it out themselves. They also act as the building contact person for the plant's energy supply companies (GETEC).
Responsibilities
- Operational operation of infrastructure facilities including the creation of operating instructions in cooperation with shift teams and energy suppliers.
- Conducting and documenting daily inspection rounds.
- Coordination of repairs and maintenance measures between engineering, workshop, production, and external parties.
- Responsibility for HSE, Process Safety, and compliance with technical standards.
- Coordination and issuance of work permits and approvals.
- Continuous weak point analysis and process optimization.
- Representation of technical work coordination and support in process risk analyses.
- Independent coordination and monitoring of safety and maintenance checks (SIWAKO) including timely commissioning, follow-up, and documentation according to legal and operational requirements.
- Training and coaching of shift teams in the operation of infrastructure facilities.
Qualifications
- Chemical technician or comparable training with a technical background
- Basic understanding of project management principles, documentation of technical changes, and risk analyses
- At least 3 years of experience in chemical production.
- Project experience is an advantage
- Good knowledge of MS Office and other standard programs, SAP-PM and COMOS knowledge is an advantage
- Innovative & focused approach to identifying and implementing working methods and tools to achieve project goals
- Structured & efficient approach that ensures effective coordination to guarantee safe, reliable & sustainable implementation
- Ability to communicate and engage at all levels
- Fluent German spoken and written as well as good English skills. French skills are an additional plus.
