The Department of Women, Children and Adolescents is tasked with providing quality care tailored to the needs of women at every stage of their lives and addressing the health issues faced by newborns, children and adolescents from birth up to the age of 16. It works on developing cutting-edge services and centres of expertise in specialities.
The Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Service (SPEA) manages inpatient and outpatient care for children and adolescents suffering from mental disorders. The teams work in multidisciplinary collaboration within a university environment offering numerous opportunities for undergraduate, postgraduate and continuing education.
The service occupies the new premises of the House of Childhood and Adolescence (MEA), which brings together all the units of the service in a particularly welcoming setting, specifically designed to improve the quality of care for the most vulnerable young patients.
Job Description
You are currently training in psychotherapy or about to start your psychotherapy training and wish to gain clinical experience in inpatient care within the Hospitalisation Unit of the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Service (SPEA).
In the inpatient setting, you will provide follow-up for families of hospitalised children and adolescents, participate in the development of care plans, team meetings and interdisciplinary summaries, in close collaboration with the heads of clinics, resident doctors and the nursing team.
Qualifications
You hold a MAS in psychotherapy or neuropsychology (or have been in MAS training for at least one year) or an equivalent qualification.
You have experience working with children, adolescents and their families.
You appreciate and are comfortable with interdisciplinary and interprofessional work.
You possess knowledge of tools specific to the care of children and adolescents.
You have knowledge of the child and adolescent psychiatric care network, as well as the social and educational network in Geneva.
