This is the job - Your main tasks

• Consulting clients, project developers and operators on the strategic planning, conception and realisation of highly available datacentres and supporting them in demanding decision-making processes throughout the entire project lifecycle.

• Assuming client representation and accompanying realisation projects – from analysis and procurement through tendering and construction phase to final acceptance.

• Conducting technical due diligence and assessments to evaluate existing properties regarding their datacentre and MEP infrastructure, potentials, risks and sustainability.

• Developing future-proof concepts for critical trades (power, climate, security, network) and ensuring quality according to relevant standards (e.g. EN 50600, TIA-942).

• Leading demanding consulting mandates and moderating workshops with interdisciplinary teams from architecture, technical building equipment (MEP) planning and IT.

• Preparing decision bases for management and project committees and presenting complex technical matters appropriately for different hierarchy levels.

This job is for you if

• You have several years of experience in the planning, construction, operation or consulting of datacentres and you like to apply your expertise in the context of construction and real estate projects (especially in the MEP area). 

• You possess a profound technical understanding of the central trades of a datacentre and their interaction – supported by a degree (engineering, (business) informatics) or correspondinglong-standing professional experience. 

• You bring a pronounced analytical and conceptual thinking ability to solve complex challenges in a structured way. 

• You can prepare complex technical matters understandably for different target groups thanks to your confident manner and communication skills. 

• You show a high degree of initiative and responsibility and like to think and act entrepreneurially. 

• You communicate fluently in German and English. 

As a cherry on the cake you bring

• A basic understanding of OT/SCADA systems, especially in building automation (GLT/BMS), or with IoT platforms in the real estate context. 

• Initial contact points with OT security or IT security for critical infrastructures. 

• Certifications in the datacentre environment (e.g. CDCP®, CDCS®, TÜV TSI), in project management (e.g. HERMES, IPMA) or in the OT security area (e.g. IEC 62443) are a welcome plus.
