For our client, an established Swiss industrial company in the field of toolmaking, mould making and sophisticated CNC manufacturing, we are looking for a technically skilled and precise individual as a CAM Programmer CNC Milling Technology 80-100% (m/f) in the Baden AG area.
In this role, you will create CAM programmes for demanding milling operations and oversee the implementation directly in production. You will work on complex individual parts, mould components and precision parts where accuracy, surface quality and clean machining strategies are crucial.
This position is suitable for a professional who can not only operate CNC milling machines but also understands machining processes, prepares programmes meticulously and implements technical solutions practically.
- Programme complex individual parts, mould inserts, tool components and precision parts
- Define machining strategies, tools, cutting parameters and clamping concepts
- Prepare milling programmes for 3- to 5-axis machining
- Check CAD data, technical drawings, tolerances and manufacturing requirements
- Collaborate with CNC production, toolmaking, design, production planning and quality assurance
- Support the commissioning of new programmes and handle technical queries in production
- Optimise cycle times, surface quality, tool life and process reliability
- Identify and resolve manufacturing issues, collisions or machining deviations
- Maintain CAM data, tool lists, programme versions and technical documentation
Ideally, you bring:
- Completed training as a polymechanic, production mechanic, toolmaker, mould maker or comparable technical education
- Experience in CAM programming or solid practical experience in CNC milling
- Good knowledge of 3- to 5-axis machining is an advantage
- Experience in toolmaking, mould making, mechanical engineering or precision manufacturing is an advantage
- Confident reading of technical drawings and understanding of tolerances, surfaces and fits
- Good knowledge of CAM systems such as hyperMILL, Mastercam, Tebis, WorkNC, Siemens NX CAM or comparable solutions is an advantage
- Understanding of tool selection, clamping technology, milling strategies and economical machining
- Experience handling CAD data and 3D models
- Quality-conscious, structured and solution-oriented working style
- Enjoyment of complex components, precise manufacturing and technical optimisation
- Good German language skills, both spoken and written

Profile
