The Geneva Foundation for Sociocultural Animation is a partner institution, funded by the canton and municipalities, whose mission is to promote and maintain social cohesion in the canton of Geneva, that is to ensure the quality of relationships between individuals and society. Through socio-educational, sociocultural and associative field actions carried out by centres and outreach teams, the Foundation meets the population's needs in terms of meeting, exchange, solidarity, citizenship, quality of life, with a general aim of preventing social exclusion. A vacancy is open at PASSAGE41, Chêne-Bougeries Meeting and Leisure Centre, for a sociocultural animator position at 85%.
Job Description
- Take responsibility for the children’s sector through socio-educational and sociocultural work;
- Handle management tasks specifically for the children’s sector: managing a team of supervisors, logistical and financial management.
- Maintain and develop the existing network related to the children’s sector.
- Carry out management tasks related to the resulting activities;
- Ensure prevention work and social connection with the various populations welcomed;
- Participate in and organise targeted events for all audiences;
- Actively participate in the development of the activity programme, follow-up of the institutional project, and preparation of activity reports;
- Participation and interest required for the implementation of occasional events related to the all-audience sector.
Qualifications
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in social work, HES level or an equivalent university degree (education sciences, sociology, psychology, anthropology, ethnology / State Diploma of Specialised Educator (DEES), Higher State Diploma of Youth, Popular Education and Sport (DESJEPS) with the obligation to obtain SEFRI recognition within the first year of employment to benefit from the maximum job class;
- Strong interest and sensitivity for working with children within the framework of Wednesday and holiday club care;
- Proficiency with multimedia tools (social networks);
- Marked interest in project innovation for the children’s sector (prevention, culture, sport, etc.);
- Good knowledge and practice in project methodology and establishing situational and field diagnostics;
- Proficiency in common computer software;
- A unifying, dynamic, willing and cheerful personality;
- Charisma, interpersonal skills and kindness;
- Ability to work autonomously while actively collaborating with the team, organisational and planning skills while managing priorities, emergencies and new situations.
