Correctional Services and Reintegration (JuWe) is part of the Directorate of Justice and the Interior of the Canton of Zurich and is responsible for penal and measure enforcement as well as the implementation of various types of detention. For our 1,400 employees from around 40 professions, the successful social reintegration of offenders and the prevention of recidivism are of particular importance.
The Pöschwies Correctional Facility (JVA) is one of seven main departments of JuWe. With 399 places, JVA Pöschwies is the largest closed correctional facility in Switzerland for male offenders. It fulfills a central state function and, according to legal mandate, takes into account the resocialization of inmates and the protection of the public.
In the area of Economy and Work, we are looking for a person with high social competence to start immediately or by arrangement. Together with your experienced professional colleagues, you will supervise and support the prisoners at the workplaces in the correctional industry.
The correctional industries work very closely with our colleagues from care and security in the area of increased to high security.
Your tasks
- Instructing, leading, and supervising a group of incarcerated workers
- Security and supervisory duties
- Supporting a work area
- Quality control of ongoing work
Your profile
- Completed vocational training EFZ in a craft or technical profession is a prerequisite
- Knowledge in the electrical field is an advantage
- Several years of professional experience and preferably some leadership experience
- Flexibility, teamwork, resilience, enjoyment of working with people, and openness to new areas of responsibility
- Very good German skills in spoken and written form; knowledge of other languages is desirable
- Ideal age from 25 years
- Impeccable reputation
