Job summary

Tasks
- Betreuung und Schulung von Patenhunden und deren Haltern.
- Durchführung von Theorie- und Praxiskursen für neue Patenhundehalter.
- Teilnahme an Informationsveranstaltungen und Trainings.
Skills
- Diplom als Hundetrainer/in und mindestens 2 Jahre Erfahrung erforderlich.
- Kenntnisse in modernen Hundetrainingsmethoden sind wichtig.
- Gute MS-Office-Anwendungen und Kommunikationsfähigkeiten sind nötig.

The Swiss School Foundation for Guide Dogs for the Blind in Allschwil BL has existed since 1972 and is financed through donations, legacies, and the Federal Disability Insurance. It is responsible for the breeding, raising, and training of guide dogs for the blind, assistance and social dogs, and autism companion dogs. The infrastructure is modern and the training concept is at a high level.To strengthen the team, we are looking for a sponsor dog caretaker 100% (m/f/d) to start immediately or by arrangement.

Your tasks
• Clarification of new sponsor dog applicants
• Continuous training including accompanying sponsor dog owners on site as well as by phone, from puppy handover until entry into training at the school
• Conducting theory courses for future sponsor dog owners
• Participation in events as needed (information sessions, etc.)
Your profile
• Recognized diploma as a dog trainer
• At least 2 years of professional experience as a dog trainer, experience with guide or assistance dogs is an advantage
• Sound knowledge of modern dog training methods as well as an open attitude towards new findings in dog training
• Proficient in using MS Office applications
• Communicative, structured, and independent personality with high social competence and physical as well as mental resilience
• Languages: native German, very good French and English skills
• Willingness to work outside of usual working hours
• Driver's license category B
