Fribourg Prison (the institution) consolidates the enforcement facilities of the Canton of Fribourg. It has the legal form of a public-law institution with its own legal personality. It is administratively assigned to the Directorate of Security, Justice and Sport and is subject to the supervisory authority of the State Council. The institution ensures the guarding, accommodation, care and treatment of prisoners in its custody and contributes to the implementation of the objectives for the enforcement of custodial sentences and measures.

Your tasks
- Manage telephone traffic and alarms
- Control the entry and exit of prisoners and visitors
- Ensure a guard service and continuous supervision of incarcerated persons, taking into account the different detention conditions
- Manage and organise internal and external movements
- Contribute to the resocialisation of incarcerated persons by positively influencing them
- Maintain discipline, order and security among the inmates
Desired profile
- Federal VET diploma or equivalent qualification with several years of professional experience
- Possession of the federal specialist certificate for prison officers, advantageous
- Good physical and mental fitness as well as flexibility and stress resistance
- Sensitivity for interpersonal relationships, communication and conflict management
- Willingness to intervene outside working hours in cases of force majeure
- Good knowledge of IT tools (MS Office)
- Clean extracts from debt enforcement and criminal records
- Proficiency in German or French with good knowledge of the other language
