For our Bern location, we are looking for a

Senior Operational Support Scientist & Deputy Department Head (m/f/d)

In this responsible role, you will work in the area of visual inspection of semi-finished products – this is the final control step before the products are packaged, released for the market, and administered to patients.

Your main tasks include:

• Close collaboration with the group leaders of visual inspection, management, and the interface functions from other departments (including: Regulatory, Quality, Compliance, Planning, Purchasing).
• Administrative support of the area in daily business
• Management and implementation of operational projects for continuous process improvement within the area
• Planning and implementation of changes in the area
• Support in deviation investigations and their actions in the quality management system
• Processing and updating of work instructions
• Review of batch documentation and data evaluation
• Support during audits and regulatory inspections
• Deputizing during the absence of the supervisor

Qualifications & Professional Experience:

• Completed studies in the natural sciences or technical field (FH/University) or equivalent qualification
• Alternatively, completed vocational training in the food, pharmaceutical, or technical field with several years of experience in a comparable position
• GMP experience or knowledge from the pharmaceutical industry is an advantage
• Good technical understanding
• Team-oriented thinking, communication skills, assertiveness and the ability to approach people at all hierarchical levels
• A high degree of independence and initiative
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and maintain an overview in hectic situations
• Very good PC skills (MS Office, SAP)
• Native German speaker and very good knowledge of English, written and spoken
