The tasks of the plant and equipment builder are:
Plant and equipment builders create products from the technical drawing through various work processes to final production. Through various separation, forming, and joining techniques such as shearing, bending, grinding, riveting, welding, and screwing, individual parts are produced and assembled into ventilation systems and devices. Both traditional tools and machines as well as computer-controlled systems are used for this purpose.
The requirements for learning this profession are:

- Technical and practical understanding as well as imagination
- Strong manual dexterity
- A-grade student or good B-grade student
- Independent, precise, and careful work
