The Monastery of Einsiedeln is a traditional Benedictine abbey and one of the most important pilgrimage sites in Switzerland. As a place of spirituality, education, culture and hospitality, the monastery unites diverse areas under one roof. The guesthouse, school, monastic community and other enterprises shape a lively and varied daily life.

To strengthen our team, we are looking for a committed and entrepreneurial-minded leader as Team Leader Cleaning & Housekeeping (80-100%) by arrangement.

In this responsible role, you will lead the areas of cleaning, laundry and tailoring. At the same time, you actively participate in day-to-day operations and support your team through your professional expertise and by setting an example. Together with the various specialist departments, you ensure a high level of service and quality of stay for guests, employees, pupils and the monastic community.

Your tasks

• Active participation in the areas of cleaning, laundry and tailoring as well as professional and personnel leadership of the team
• Planning, organisation and further development of workflows, duty rosters and quality standards
• Promotion and development of employees as well as the opportunity to help shape apprentice training
• Close cooperation with the guest area, the foundation school and other specialist departments
• Responsibility for hygiene, occupational safety as well as economical and sustainable use of resources
• Shaping optimisation and change processes and utilising synergies in procurement and ordering

Your profile

• Training in housekeeping, hospitality, cleaning or comparable qualification
• Professional and leadership experience in a service-oriented environment, ideally in hospitality or housekeeping
• Enjoyment of a practical leadership role with active participation in day-to-day operations
• Organisational skills, initiative and entrepreneurial thinking
• Enjoyment of cross-departmental collaboration
• Good MS Office skills
• Discretion, reliability and a respectful manner
