What you can achieve
- Building, further development and operation of an internal AI/LLM platform including compute cluster
- Implementation of in-house LLM solutions including connectors, tools and retrieval/document solutions
- Development of data pipelines, data preprocessing and interfaces to internal systems
- Implementation of proof of concepts (POCs), MVPs and pilot solutions in the field of AI / R&D
- Containerisation, deployment and automation of AI workloads
- Technical documentation as well as knowledge transfer within the team
What you bring with you
- University degree (BSc/MSc) in computer science, data science or comparable
- Several years of professional experience in ML engineering, data engineering, software engineering or DevOps
- Very good Python skills as well as experience with modern ML/AI frameworks
- Experience with Linux, Docker, Kubernetes or comparable platforms
- Knowledge of LLMs, RAG, APIs, data pipelines or search technologies is an advantage
- Structured, independent and pragmatic working style with high implementation competence
- Very good German skills in spoken and written form; English skills are an advantage
- Military career as a senior non-commissioned officer or officer is an advantage
