The Swiss Gymnastics Federation (STV) – More than gymnastics.

"We enable sport, movement and experiences throughout Switzerland for everyone, to create community and well-being." The Swiss Gymnastics Federation is the largest multisport federation in Switzerland with around 375,000 members and 2,580 clubs.

For the strategic leadership of our federation from 2027, we are looking for you as Central President, in a voluntary capacity.

Your tasks

In this central role, you actively shape the future of gymnastics in Switzerland. Together with the central board, you are responsible for the strategic direction of the STV and set pioneering impulses for the further development of our federation.

You represent the STV convincingly both internally and externally and position it as a strong, relevant voice in the sporting, political and social environment.

Your main tasks include in particular:

• Strategic leadership and further development of the STV: Together with the central board, you set the strategic framework, further develop it and monitor its sustainable implementation
• Leadership of the central board: You chair meetings, promote an open, constructive committee culture and ensure a shared strategic understanding
• Political positioning & advocacy: You position the STV in the national and international sports-political environment, represent the interests of the federation and its members towards key stakeholders and purposefully develop an effective network in politics, sport and business
• Representation & communication: You represent the STV at national and international level and maintain active exchange with member associations, partner organisations and key stakeholders
• Collaboration with the management: You lead the director and ensure a clear and effective link between strategic leadership and operational implementation in cooperation with the management

Your profile

You are an experienced leader with pronounced strategic thinking, a strong network and bring especially the following:

• Several years of leadership experience in business, sport, an association environment or politics
• Sound knowledge of governance as well as experience in transformation or change processes
• Political understanding and the ability to effectively represent interests
• Strong communication skills and confident appearance at all levels (politics, media, public)
• Affinity for gymnastics as well as a good understanding of the dynamics of associations and voluntary commitment
• An integral, unifying personality with high social competence and assertiveness
  
  

(Very) good German, as well as French or Italian skills and good English skills complete your profile.
