The Office for Water and Energy (AWE) is committed to safe and intact waters, protection against floods and natural hazards, the protection and sustainable use of rivers, streams, lakes, and groundwater, and the implementation and further development of energy and climate policy.
The implementation of the energy transition is one of the central challenges of the coming years. To achieve the energy and climate goals, the canton of St. Gallen aims to consistently advance the implementation of the energy transition. Key focuses include, among others, the expansion of renewable energies and the decarbonisation of the energy system. For the Energy and Climate Department, we are looking for a committed, technically skilled individual as of 1 October 2026, who will accompany this transformation with expertise and vigour and help shape it at the cantonal level.
