Initial Situation

Before the coffee gets cold, the shipment should already be on its way.
Sounds like a typical morning in air freight... For a small team, we are looking for someone who knows the Swiss air freight business and likes to take charge of their shipments personally. From the first enquiry to delivery, you handle the entire process – import and export from A to Z.

Tasks

• handling air freight shipments in import and export from A to Z
• organising collections, bookings as well as pre- and on-carriage
• preparing and checking air freight, customs and transport documents
• coordinating with airlines, handling agents, customers and international partners
• monitoring shipments, flight schedules, transit times and delivery dates
• processing changes, enquiries and irregularities
• looking after customers and ensuring shipments are at the right place at the right time

Requirements

• completed training as a freight forwarding agent or comparable qualification
• several years of experience in air freight in Switzerland
• good knowledge of import and export procedures
• independent and reliable working style
• uncomplicated personality who thinks ahead and enjoys taking responsibility

IT Skills

MS Office – good knowledge

Languages

German: spoken and written very good
English: spoken and written good to very good
