A cantonal public law institution, the CNP is tasked with leading the health policy of the canton of Neuchâtel in the field of mental health, in collaboration with partner institutions. The CNP aims to rehabilitate patients suffering from mental disorders through the adoption of an integrated and community psychiatry model; it implements public policies for the promotion and prevention of mental health; it acts as a reference centre in the field of professional training and research in psychiatry.
The Adult Department is seeking to join the outpatient consultations of the Forensic Psychiatry Service, a:

The Forensic Psychiatry Service provides therapeutic support to individuals subject to a care obligation within the criminal framework.
Its approach is based on strong values of respect and kindness, with the ambition to offer individualised care, adapted to the needs and journey of each patient.
Care is provided by a multidisciplinary team, composed notably of doctors, psychologists and nurses, who combine perspectives and expertise to address complex clinical situations at the interface between psychiatry and justice.
As part of your role, you will be expected to:
- Assess and diagnose behavioural, emotional and cognitive disorders of patients.
- Provide psychological and psychotherapeutic follow-ups ordered by the criminal justice system.
- Conduct clinical assessments and participate in the development of therapeutic projects.
- Lead a therapeutic group.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team and network partners, particularly the enforcement and probation authorities.
- Participate in clinical meetings, supervisions and institutional development sessions.
- Ensure the administrative management and follow-up of your clinical activity (report writing, patient file maintenance, service entry).
- Participate in the supervision and development of assistant psychologists.
The required skills for this position are as follows:
- Hold a university master’s degree in psychology or equivalent recognised by PsyCo.
- Hold a recognised postgraduate qualification.
- Experience in the prison or penitentiary environment, and being a forensic psychologist are assets.
- Ability to work with patients presenting complex clinical situations, including in a context of compulsory care.
- Autonomy, ability to collaborate interprofessionally and aptitude to work within a structured institutional and therapeutic framework.
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team and collaborate constructively.
- Knowledge of the organisation of the Swiss and cantonal health system.
