To strengthen our production team in Visp, Switzerland, we are looking for a Chemist, Manufacturing. In this role, you are a member of the operations management team and lead and organize activities in the area of continuously and batch-operated plants, so that the needs of the market and other stakeholders are fully met.
 

Main tasks and responsibilities:

• Supervision of the assigned plants and their products while continuously complying with safety and quality guidelines

• Preparation and execution of risk analyses with your team

• Identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of production regarding safety, costs, quality, and performance

• Close collaboration with internal interfaces (R&D, Business, Analytics, EHS, Logistics)

• Compliance with quality guidelines and standards

• Leading, assessing, coaching, and developing the subordinate employees

• Promoting the Arxada culture characterized by cooperative teamwork, openness within your own team and beyond

• Taking on on-call duty at the assigned plants

Qualifications and experience:

• Completed university or technical college degree in the field of chemical engineering, process engineering or equivalent (Master or PhD)

• Professional experience in chemical or pharmaceutical production is an advantage

• Used to working independently and flexibly

• Fluent German and good English skills

• High communication skills, sense of responsibility, reliability, and resilience characterize you

• You enjoy working with people to change things and find creative solutions
