Project Manager Building Construction (m/f/d)
Salary - CHF105,000 - 110,000Role:
On behalf of our client, we are looking for an experienced individual as Construction and Project Manager Building Construction for the realisation of demanding new build and refurbishment projects. You will take on a central role between client, authorities, architects, specialist planners and contractors and accompany projects from tendering to successful completion. In addition to local site management, you will be responsible for key areas of construction administration, cost and schedule control as well as tendering and awarding. The project portfolio includes small to large construction projects in residential, administrative and commercial buildings and offers correspondingly diverse technical and organisational tasks.
Responsibilities:
Independent construction and project management of demanding new build and refurbishment projects of various sizes
Assuming local site management as well as coordination and leadership of contractors and trades on site
Central interface function between client, authorities, architect, specialist planners, specialists and contractors
Preparation and monitoring of cost estimates, cost controls, schedule and construction progress plans
Development of specifications and costings as well as conducting tenders and offer comparisons
Preparation of award proposals and participation in contract and award negotiations with contractors
Organisation and leadership of construction, contractor and coordination meetings including minute-taking and action tracking
Management and coordination of specialist planners within the assigned area of responsibility
Conducting quality and execution inspections as well as technical clarification of detail and interface issues
Responsibility for measurement, change order management and invoice verification as well as ongoing control of project costs
Ensuring project execution in accordance with relevant SIA standards, NPK and BKP/eBKP structures
Organisation of acceptances, defect management and project completion including complete construction and project documentation
Qualifications:
Training as a certified construction manager, HF technician in construction planning, EFZ draughtsman specialising in architecture, FH architect or comparable qualification
Several years of professional experience in construction and project management in Swiss building construction
Experience with residential, administrative and commercial buildings as well as new build and refurbishment projects
Sound knowledge of costing, tendering, cost control, scheduling and construction administration
Good knowledge of relevant SIA standards, NPK and Swiss construction and execution standards
Solid technical understanding of construction, execution details and cross-trade interfaces
Very good German language skills spoken and written
