The dreischiibe foundation is an innovative, non-profit social enterprise. In our versatile service and commercial center in Herisau, St. Gallen, and Flawil, we create professional and personal perspectives for people with mental disabilities at 220 work, training, and integration places. In the day center and meeting center, we promote social integration with 60 visitor places.
In the carpentry area in Herisau, we offer immediately or by arrangement a
Apprenticeship as a Work Educator with prior internship (6 months) in carpentry (80-100%)
Together with our employees, we produce a wide range of orders for our corporate and private customers, mostly within the framework of small and medium-sized series:
- Customer gifts
- Wooden packaging
- Beekeeping magazines and various other own products
- Support services also in external woodworking companies on site
Your tasks
- Assisting in the supervision and guidance of employees in the work educational context
- Co-development of products, aids, and optimized production processes
- Checking orders throughout the entire production process
- Co-responsibility for occupational safety
- Assistance in planning and organizing orders
- Various administrative tasks on the PC
- Participation in area meetings as well as internal training sessions
Your profile
- Completed vocational training in the wood trade required (carpenter preferred)
- Minimum age 25 years
- Motivation and joy in working with people with mental difficulties
- Independent working style, sense of responsibility, and humor
- Communicative, open, and team-oriented personality with a positive attitude
- Good IT user skills
