No ward routine, no monotony like in a hospital: For our client in the Mittelland region, a correctional facility in closed custody, we are looking for a nurse who is keen on an extraordinary working environment. In the health service outpatient clinic, you are the first point of contact for the health of the admitted men, with a lot of personal responsibility and a small, well-coordinated team behind you.

Job Description
You care for and treat inmates with somatic and mental illnesses: a professional breadth rarely found in hospitals.
You conduct initial assessments, triage, and participate in decisions on further steps.
You order and prepare medications and organise medical rounds as well as hospital admissions.
You are the first point of contact for health questions, both for inmates and staff.
You work closely with doctors, psychotherapists, the care and work departments, and external partners.
You maintain medical documentation and write reports.
You work weekdays during the day; on-call duties in the evenings and at weekends are performed on a rota basis.
Requirements
Nursing qualification with tertiary degree (AKP, DN II, HF Nursing or Psychiatry) and several years of professional experience
Enjoyment in working with people from diverse cultures and life stories
A stable, resilient personality who keeps a cool head even in delicate moments
A good sense of closeness and distance
Team spirit and enthusiasm for interprofessional collaboration
Very good German language skills in speaking and writing, good oral French and English skills
Confident PC skills
Experience in the penal system is a plus but not a requirement
