For our headquarters based in Châtel-Saint-Denis, we are looking for a:
Scientific & Substantiation Project Manager (M/F)
Your Mission
Reporting to the Chief Scientific Officer and a member of the Concept team, you provide the scientific proof of our products: from designing efficacy and tolerance studies to building the claims dossier that supports marketing.
You manage the Concept project portfolio, build and maintain the ingredient database as well as the product database, and act as the scientific reference contact for R&D, Marketing, Regulatory, and Product Development.
Your Responsibilities
- Manage the complete cycle of efficacy and tolerance studies: protocol design, selection and monitoring of service providers, quality control of reports, interpretation and dissemination of results;
- Build and maintain the claims and evidence dossier for each product, ensuring traceability and the level of evidence associated with each claim;
- Lead, upstream of study design, the alignment workshop with Marketing to integrate targeted claims into the evaluation protocol;
- Process claims requests from Marketing and propose, as appropriate, a defensible reformulation or new evidence to be produced;
- Manage the Concept team project portfolio: progress, priorities, milestones, and coordination with R&D, Regulatory, and Product Development;
- Structure and maintain the ingredient database: critical analysis of supplier documentation, construction of the scientific narrative, technical monitoring;
- Co-develop the product database with Marketing and Regulatory, ensuring the accuracy of scientific fields;
- Produce training materials for marketing teams and subsidiaries, and respond to scientific inquiries from markets.
Your Qualifications
- You hold a Master’s degree in cellular biology, biochemistry, chemistry, pharmacy, biotechnologies, or scientific cosmetology;
- You have 3 to 7 years of experience in cosmetics, dermo-cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, or contract research organisations, in evaluation or scientific affairs roles;
- Experience in managing clinical or instrumental studies is decisive;
- You master the design of evaluation protocols and skin biometrics methods;
- You have operational statistical literacy and can assess the practical relevance of a significant result;
- You critically read scientific literature and supplier documentation, and understand the hierarchy of levels of evidence;
- You can write for both scientific audiences and consumers, and structure data in an exploitable repository;
- You are proficient in professional French and English;
- Knowledge of the European cosmetic regulatory framework and exposure to extra-European markets are assets.
Start date: as soon as possible
Contract: Permanent full-time (100%)
