You can make this contribution

• Responsible for the assessment and financing of restoration projects in the field of fish migration in the assigned cantons of Romandie
• Responsible for supporting and advising the assigned cantons in Romandie (and other stakeholders) in the field of fish passability
• Specialist and contact person for technical questions regarding the ecological restoration of fish migration barriers (weirs, hydropower plants, locks, thresholds, etc.)
• Responsible for the development and further advancement of the basis for planning, implementation and evaluation of measures for longitudinal connectivity and restoration of power plants.
• Responsible for the coordination (at federal level) of the implementation of the action plan for the protection of the Doubs (areas of hydropower restoration, fisheries, water protection)

What makes you unique

• Professional or university degree in aquatic ecology (biology, environmental sciences, environmental engineering) or hydraulic engineering with good knowledge in the field of aquatic ecology/fisheries
• Professional experience in the field of aquatic ecology (planning, support or execution of projects), preferably in ecological hydropower restoration
• Experience and interest in research, further development and evaluation of restoration measures in the field of fish migration
• Professional and project management experience in science, administration or a specialised office
• Independent, goal- and solution-oriented working style, good communication skills and ability to work in a team
• Very good knowledge of French as well as good active knowledge of German
