Technical Building Operator

Background:
The "Operate Buildings" division at the Basel and Kaiseraugst sites is responsible for ensuring the energy and media supply, ensuring building operations, and providing services in the maintenance area. The Technical Building Operations team ensures the reliable, regulatory-compliant, and cost-conscious operation of building technical systems.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Ensuring the availability of technical building equipment, regulatory-compliant, and economical plant operation throughout the entire service life of the buildings
• Responsibility for technical building and plant inspections, troubleshooting, maintenance, continuous plant optimisation (energy, costs)
• Responsibility for managing external contractors as well as GMP-compliant documentation
• Providing on-call service and participating in various exciting projects
• Using expertise to effect change and benefiting from expertise in other areas through cooperation
• Ensuring information exchange in the specialist departments and proactively, as well as independently, participating in self-organised teams.

Must Haves:

• Completed technical vocational training in the field of building technology (e.g. automation technician, ventilation fitter), ideally a maintenance specialist
• At least 3 years of professional experience in the operation and maintenance of technical building equipment
• Basic knowledge of IT applications (Office, SAP, etc.)
• Fluent German skills, both spoken and written
• Independence and proactive working style
• Team orientation and willingness to cooperate
• Problem-solving ability and decisiveness
• High sense of responsibility

Nice to Have:

• GMP knowledge
• Further training as a maintenance specialist
• Several years of professional experience in the operation and maintenance of technical building equipment
• Ideally English language skills
