WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

For our Zurich location, we are seeking an experienced Head of Engineering (m/f/d) who combines technical excellence with entrepreneurial thinking. In this responsible position, you will take on the leadership of the engineering organisation and create the conditions for fast, autonomous decisions and consistent implementation. In doing so, you combine the agility and decisiveness of a medium-sized environment with the technological possibilities, know-how, and resources of an international technology group.

Specifically, the following challenges await you:

• Leadership and further development of the engineering organisation at the Zurich location
• Definition of clear technical and organisational priorities as well as consistent implementation of decisions made
• Further development of teams, managers, competencies, and engineering processes
• Ensuring a balanced ratio of quality, deadlines, costs, and technical performance
• Continuous optimisation of existing processes with a focus on efficiency and speed, taking into account group-wide structures
• Close collaboration with programme management, operations, business development, and other international Rheinmetall units
• Translation of customer requirements and strategic goals into robust technical solutions
• Promotion of a culture of personal responsibility, decisiveness, and consistent result orientation

WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING

• Completed studies as Dipl. Ing. ETH/FH
• Military training in the area of FLAB/BODLUV is an advantage
• Very good business and product understanding
• Professionalism in service and customer orientation
• Proactive, solution-oriented, and resilient
• Organisational talent with a "hands-on" mentality
• Very good German and English skills, both spoken and written
