Senior Quality Assurance Specialist (80 - 100%)

SIX Services in Olten is looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Lead to join our Custody business domain team. This role is ideal for a QA professional with deep domain knowledge in Securities line of business, including Custody applications, and strong expertise in test management. The QA Lead will define, implement, and oversee testing strategies and quality standards for new projects and ongoing Change Requests, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, compliant software. Fluency in English is essential, and proficiency in German is preferred.
What You Will Do
- Define and Implement Test Strategy: Develop and maintain a comprehensive test strategy, covering functional, non-functional, and regression testing phases to ensure project success and adherence to standards
- Quality Assurance for Change Requests: Lead QA efforts for Change Requests related to Continuous Enhancements and Maintenance within the Custody applications, ensuring they meet quality standards and are implemented in periodic releases throughout the year
- Change Management: Utilize your change management experience to manage testing activities for both projects and Change Requests, tracking timelines, resource allocation, and risk mitigation
- Defect Management: Set up and monitor a defect management process in JIRA, collaborating closely with development and business teams for prompt issue resolution
- Test Management Meetings: Conduct periodic test management meetings to discuss progress, address any concerns, and align with stakeholders on project goals and change objectives
- Risk and Escalation Management: Actively identify potential risks, escalating critical issues to Project Management when necessary to ensure timely resolutions
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams across multiple locations, facilitating seamless collaboration and aligning testing with project milestones and release schedules
What You Bring
- Domain Knowledge in Securities: Strong expertise in the Securities domain, specifically in Custody applications, with a solid understanding of business requirements and quality standards in this area
- Quality Assurance and Testing Experience: Proven experience in managing both project and change-related QA efforts, including defect management, progress tracking, and quality assurance
- Knowledge of Development Methodologies: Familiar with Waterfall, Agile, and SAFE methodologies, with the ability to adapt testing approaches as needed
- Leadership Abilities: Skilled in leading and managing a team of 6+ testers, providing direction and support to meet project quality goals
- Proficiency in JIRA: Experienced in using JIRA for test management, tracking Change Requests, and documenting defect resolution and project progress
- Language Skills: Fluent in English (both written and spoken); proficiency in German is a plus
