Company Description
The Official Youth Foundation (FOJ) aims to promote the psycho-social development of children, adolescents and young people in difficulty, in collaboration with parents and partner institutions. Bound by a service contract with the State of Geneva, the FOJ is committed to the protection and defence of the interests of the child.
Serving the families of the canton, it operates through four main areas of action: child welfare , emergency reception , family support and preparation for autonomy .
To fulfil its mission, the institution manages 47 facilities across the Canton of Geneva. It has more than 500 places for minors and young adults, and also offers educational outreach services at home. The FOJ currently employs 670 staff dedicated to serving young people and their families.
To successfully carry out its mission, the FOJ is looking for an educator for La Résidence Beaux-Champs and Les Zapparts who will be responsible for monitoring residents and supporting one to two young people in social rupture.
Job Description
The FOJ Residences and Zapparts, to complete their teams, are seeking an educator capable of performing tasks in the following areas:
- Management of admissions and discharges and related processes
- Support for residents during their stay (regular support meetings, record keeping, housing visits, ...)
- Specific support for one to two young people in social rupture with the aim of integration
- Use of various individual and educational support tools in close collaboration with the educational team and management
- Use of various management tools in close collaboration with secretarial-accounting staff and management
- Communication and partnerships
- Building logistics (collaboration with caretakers and management)
- Representation (in various bodies, events, ...)
- Safety (promote and ensure safety, notably by organising evacuation drills)
Activity rate: between 75% and 90%
Contract type: Fixed-term contract
Grade: 15 according to the State of Geneva salary scale
Start date: 1st September 2026 or to be agreed
Workplace: Résidence Beaux-Champs
Working hours: scheduling under the responsibility of the employee according to the mission and tasks and in agreement with management

Qualifications
- - Bachelor profile in social work - University of Applied Sciences in Social Work (HETS)
- Qualified social educator profile - Higher School (ES)
- University bachelor profile - FAPSE degree with one year of full-time professional practice in residential care or IGE - Foreign diplomas: SEFRI recognition or equivalent
- Professional experience in a youth home and/or with young adults is an asset
- Interpersonal skills and educational attitude
- Ability to work both in a team and independently and responsibly
- Ability to develop projects collaboratively and be proactive
- Knowledge of the Geneva network for minors and young adults
- Good writing skills in French
