Strategic Sales & Business Development
- Development and implementation of the sales strategy for the German defense market as well as selected international programs
- Identification, development, and closing of new business opportunities with a focus on the Bundeswehr, BAAINBw, and system integrators
- Management of the entire sales cycle from opportunity identification to contract conclusion
Key Account Management
- Building, maintaining, and further developing strategic customer relationships primarily with the Bundeswehr, BAAINBw, and relevant authorities and stakeholders
- Positioning the company as a long-term and strategic partner
- Taking over additional key accounts according to strategic priority
Network and Stakeholder Management
- Active use and expansion of an existing network within the German defense industry
- Maintaining relationships with decision-makers, procurement offices, and industry partners
- Representing the company at defense trade fairs and industry events (e.g., AFCEA, Enforce Tac, DSEI, Eurosatory) as well as to customers and partners
Internal Coordination
- Supporting and managing offer and tender processes
- Close collaboration with interdisciplinary teams in Switzerland
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory and compliance requirements
Market Analysis & Reporting
- Analysis of market trends, procurement programs, and competitive environment
- Identification of strategic partnerships and business potentials
- Regular reporting to the Head of International Sales
What you bring with you
Professional Experience
- >10 years of experience in sales or business development in the defense industry
- Proven sales success with the Bundeswehr, BAAINBw, or comparable procurement authorities
- Experience with complex procurement processes and international defense programs is an advantage
Network
- Excellent network within the German defense industry
- Established contacts with the Bundeswehr, BAAINBw, industry partners, and relevant decision-makers
Professional Competencies
- Solid understanding of procurement processes in the German defense sector
- Experience in selling complex technical solutions
- Knowledge of tactical communication solutions is an advantage
- Strong closing skills as well as strategic and entrepreneurial thinking
Personal Competencies
- Confident appearance and strong communication and presentation skills
- High initiative and result orientation
- Ability to interact at senior executive level
- High willingness to travel nationally and selectively internationally
Education
- University degree in business administration, engineering, international business, or comparable
- Military background or experience in the defense sector is mandatory
