The fifth largest city in the canton of Zurich has around 28,000 inhabitants. In six school units, around 3,100 pupils attend classes from kindergarten to secondary level. Your tasks
- Building maintenance and minor repairs
- Supervision of technical systems (heating, ventilation, air conditioning and sanitary systems)
- Management and coordination of external craftsmen and cleaning staff
- General cleaning work in the building
- Maintenance work in the surroundings (waste, snow removal etc.) excluding green areas
- Various control and monitoring tasks
- Administrative tasks
- Collaboration with school management, teachers and administration
Your profile
- Completed vocational training in a craft-related field
- Caretaker with federal professional certificate
- Further training in facility management is an advantage
- Several years of professional experience in caretaking, including leadership experience
- Good knowledge of building technology (heating, ventilation, air conditioning and sanitary systems)
- Independent, structured and service-oriented working style
- Sense of duty and responsibility
- Team player with good interpersonal skills
- Good German skills (spoken and written)
- Driving licence category B
- Good IT user skills (Microsoft 365)
- Enjoyment in contact with teachers and children
