Team Leader Sample Preparation Environmental Laboratory

Job Description

For our sample preparation, we are looking for a committed individual with organisational talent and technical understanding. In this leadership role, you coordinate the daily operations in sample preparation, actively participate and thus ensure that our samples are processed on time, safely and in compliance with quality standards.

• You plan and coordinate the daily operations of sample preparation and sensibly allocate the tasks within the team
• You prioritise incoming orders and coordinate deadlines and special requirements with Customer Service and the analytical laboratory departments
• You lead the team professionally, assign tasks and support employees with technical and organisational questions. Disciplinary personnel responsibility lies with the laboratory management
• You actively participate in sample preparation and perform simple physical tests. The activity includes standing and physically active work as well as the safe handling of samples, containers and technical equipment
• Together with the team, you also ensure orderly inventory management of samples, chemicals and consumables as well as reliable internal logistics and shipping processes
• You ensure compliance with quality, safety and process requirements and participate in audits, deviations and improvement measures
• You ensure complete documentation and traceability according to our quality management system and ISO/IEC 17025
• You organise maintenance and repair work for the equipment park in sample preparation
• You support the continuous improvement of our workflows, equipment and internal interfaces

Your Profile

• Completed technical, craft or logistical basic training
• Professional experience in a technical, craft, manufacturing or laboratory-related environment
• Experience in a role with organisational responsibility, for example as team leader, foreman, shift supervisor, deputy or in work preparation
• You like to take responsibility, are hands-on, keep an overview even in hectic situations and know how to successfully coordinate and support employees in everyday work
• Good technical understanding and manual dexterity
• Structured, reliable and safety-conscious working style
• Very good German language skills in spoken and written form
• Confident/advanced use of common MS Office applications
• Experience in a laboratory, production facility, quality assurance or an accredited environment is an advantage
• Experience with a LIMS, ERP system or comparable digital order control is an advantage
• Knowledge in test equipment monitoring, maintenance or technical troubleshooting is an advantage
