The Riviera-Chablais Hospital, Vaud-Valais (HRC), is an inter-cantonal reference hospital, bringing together more than 2,500 collaborators. The Rennaz Hospital Centre has over 350 acute care beds. It is complemented by two Geriatric and Rehabilitation Clinics as well as two medical on-call services. To complete the team of our medical on-call services, in Monthey and Vevey, open 7 days a week, from 9am to 7pm, we are advertising a position for:

Deputy Doctor M/F at 60%-100%

Within our on-call services dedicated to the management of grade 3 and 4 situations, you will work alongside a team of nurses and medical assistants. On-site, state-of-the-art conventional radiology, an ultrasound device, and a medical analysis laboratory will enable you to provide initial patient care under the best conditions. If specialised additional examinations are required, the on-call services are a unit of the Riviera-Chablais Hospital, which offers the latest medical technologies.

The main responsibilities of this position are

• To ensure the care of adult patients and occasionally, from 4 years old, without appointment
• To participate in the management of the medical on-call services and ensure their development
• To supervise the medical staff (assistant doctors and senior registrars) of the medical on-call services and provide training (ISFM level B recognition)

We require

• A federal medical diploma or a diploma issued by an EU member state and recognised by the Federal Office of Public Health
• An ISFM specialist title in general internal medicine and/or a Federal Diploma of Advanced Studies in emergency medicine or an equivalent recognised training (MEBEKO)
• Extensive experience is necessary, particularly in outpatient general medicine, ideally in a practice or medical polyclinic
• At least 1 year of experience in a surgical discipline is desirable and experience in paediatrics would be an asset
