Team Leader Returns Logistics

About the job

The Returns Logistics department coordinates the recycling and disposal process at the Migros Zurich cooperative. We are looking to strengthen our team for this area at our headquarters in the city of Zurich.

What you will achieve

• Management of the container distribution, container washing system and container sorting system
• Professional leadership and deployment planning of around 10 employees
• Responsibility for the washing process of approx. 20,000 containers per day
• Responsibility for the sorting process of approx. 80,000 containers per day
• Coordination of interfaces between unloading trucks and loading trucks / railway wagons
• Continuous improvement of processes and system availability
• Partial involvement in day-to-day business
• Deputising for the entire returns logistics during absences

What you bring

• Education: Completed vocational training (EFZ)
• Specialisation: Logistician and further training in logistics, technology or business administration (e.g. logistics specialist)
• Professional experience: Several years of professional experience in a comparable leadership position
• Strong leadership and social skills
• Technical understanding and a flair for logistics systems
• Open, team-oriented and reliable personality with an independent working style
• Assertiveness and hands-on mentality
• Very good IT user skills (including Microsoft Excel)
• German (B1)
