About the job
Class and annual salary (including 13th month salary):
7 73,556.-- / 116,071.--
Tasks:
- conduct operational criminal analyses (OCA) within the context of investigative and verification activities of the Police and Public Prosecutor's Office
- provide support, as a specialist, in conducting judicial police investigations
- collaborate on projects according to the service's area of responsibility
- verify the efficiency of activities carried out and propose any improvements
- collaborate in training relevant to the section
- participate at cantonal, national and international levels in working groups and/or projects within their specialist field
Requirements:
- higher education (APF, SSS) in IT, data analysis, criminal sciences or federal professional certificate (APF) as a police officer
- several years of experience in IT, data analysis or a related field
- high communication skills and stress resistance
- analytical, creative and interdisciplinary approach, psychological and physical resilience, and ability to work independently and in a team;
- excellent knowledge (spoken and written) of Italian and knowledge (spoken and written) of at least one other official language
- category B driving licence
- willingness to attend training courses and obtain the related specialist certifications
- Swiss citizenship
- good conduct and absence of records incompatible with the role
- preferential qualifications include:
- possession of higher qualifications, certifications or diplomas in IT, data analysis or criminal sciences
- several years of experience within law enforcement
- knowledge (spoken and written) of English
Special remarks:
- candidates participating in the competition authorise the Cantonal Police to process all data necessary to verify good conduct and absence of records incompatible with employment in the Police
- flexibility of deployment as required (extended hours, holidays, nights)

Employment conditions:
- appointment or assignment: as provided by the Law on the Organisation of State Employees and Teachers of 15 March 1995 (LORD) and the related Regulation. Any changes in law concerning salary and organisation are explicitly reserved
- working hours: 42 hours per week (for a 100% employment rate), flexible or according to service needs
