About the job
What to expect
- Overall responsibility for achieving the goals of your category – including sales, contribution margin, budget, as well as manufacturer and supplier agreements
- Development and implementation of the Food & Petcare category strategy along the strategic guidelines of Brack.Alltron AG
- Leadership, coaching, and development of a committed team (both professionally and personally)
- Analysis and management of category performance including derivation and implementation of effective measures
- Development of a range and communication strategy based on solid market, competition, and trend analyses (e.g., consumer, brand, and nutrition trends)
- Strategic management of cross-channel pricing strategy
- Definition and implementation of an efficient procurement strategy considering reach, inventory turnover, and stock limits
- Responsibility for sustainable, partnership-based supplier and manufacturer management
- Optimization of internal processes as well as close collaboration with platforms and relevant interfaces
What you bring
- Completed vocational training with advanced business management education (HF/HFP/professional certificate or equivalent)
- Several years of experience in strategic category management or purchasing, ideally in e-commerce or retail environment
- Solid leadership experience with a clear, motivating leadership style and joy in team development
- Experience in budget planning, target setting, performance management, and strategic negotiations
- Strong analytical understanding and routine working with key figures, market, and consumer data
- Interest in digitalization, automation, and process optimization
- Entrepreneurial thinking, high personal responsibility, and pronounced hands-on mentality
- Communication and negotiation skills in dealing with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and platforms
- Fluent German, good English skills
